The large-scale national dance drama "Da Meng Dunhuang" will land at the Chongqing Grand Theatre on the 27th of this month. Yesterday, the reporter interviewed Gao Guangjian, the dance design of the play. He proudly told the reporter: "Although "Dream of Dunhuang" has been revised since the premiere for more than 10 years, the stage art design has never been changed. This is the earliest part of the "Dream of Dunhuang" through the audience and the market."
The stage design of the premiere is best
Gao Guangjian was very impressed when he mentioned the creation of "Dream of Dunhuang". "This is the most straightforward creation of my work in these years. I personally think that the stage design was the best when I first performed in the Chinese theater. I was on the ground. A layer of platform, a little tilted, hiding all the way of the scene behind the platform, the stage is particularly clean, the angle of view is good. So, for many years has been reluctant to change. Now look at some aspect may not be the best, but You put music, dance, and beauty together very smoothly. This is the biggest feature of this play."
Recombining Dunhuang murals
In the past 10 years, the beauty of the dance has hardly changed. Gao Guangjian said: "I only went to Dunhuang once before I created it. It was entirely based on the impression at that time. With that feeling, I took the album back to memorize, imagine, and re-create. So the murals on the stage, sometimes looking like Yungang, like the Dragon Gate, I took all the cave things and re-doed them to make it reasonable and have a feeling. The story of the play happened some years ago, then Dunhuang is definitely not like this."
